Online Registration Opens for California's First Cyber Safety Summit
SACRAMENTO ~ Online registration opens Tuesday, September 12, 2006, for 2006 California Cyber Safety Summit: Protecting Children Online, which takes place Wednesday, October 18, 2006.
The Summit is a joint effort of the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the California Coalition for Children's Internet Safety, and is designed to provide tools and strategies parents, teachers and others can use to teach children the safe, smart and legal way to surf the Internet.
Marc Klaas, President of the KlaasKids Foundation will be the keynote speaker. Partners include TeenAngels, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, MySpace, NetSmartz, Microsoft, Symantec and Web Wise Kids.
Registration is FREE and is only available online at www.cybersafety.ca.gov. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
